Netflix Slices'n'Dices Its Rental Plans: Shrewd Move or Bloody Mess?

Netflix has severed video streaming from its DVD-by-mail rental plans, making access to its library of on-demand instant videos available only as a separate plan. Users who want both forms of media will need to subscribe to both, which in most cases will amount to a price hike. Its new arrangement, though, may help Netflix negotiate with studios in upping the size and quality of its streaming library. Read more here.
